The Underground Jam + 96 Tears

Forming in 2003 and playing all over the UK, they capture the authentic raw energy and sound of The Jam`s early punk roots in addition to playing a full range of songs from The Jam`s later back catalogue.

As well as playing all the hits (such as In The City, Going Underground, Town Called Malice, Eton Rifles & The Modern World), the band play many album tracks and B sides.

Guaranteed to please both the avid Jam fans, as well as those only familiar with their chart material.

Supporting The Underground Jam at the Wee Jimmies gig will be Cowdenbeath band 96 Tears.

96 Tears are a gang of 5, all originating from the bright lights of Cowdenbeath.

Influences are worn directly on their sleeves with the punk edge of Iggy Pop, groove of The Stone Roses and electro tinged ruggedness of Primal Scream. They like to think there`s also a bit of who they are and where they`re from in there that adds a certain something extra too. Song subject matter ranges from the madness of war, the struggle to escape small town attitudes and the wanton hedonism of a good night out on the tiles.

The band has been running in one shape or form for almost a decade and they are known for blowing the roof off (metaphorically) in super-charged live sets.

They haven`t played in their home town for a few years, so they`re going to be going extra guns for this one. Sharpen up your dancing shoes!
