Dirty Harry (Blondie Tribute) + Sods Law

Sat, 25th Feb 2017

Rubber Stamp Promotions and Weekend Revolution are delighted to announce the return once again of awesome Blondie tribute Dirty Harry to PJ Molloys Dunfermline on Saturday the 25th of February. Support comes from Midlothian based band Sods Law, who will be playing the venue for the first time. Tickets can be purchased in advance from PJ Molloys and Ticketweb at a cost of £10. This gig is aged 16+ and doors open at 7pm.

Dirty Harry played 3 massive gigs at the end of last year, when they supported the Bay City Rollers at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Wolverhampton Civic Hall and the Empress Ballroom, Blackpool. They also had the pleasure of supporting the Bay City Rollers on their December 2015 UK tour, which comprised of 4 gigs at the Glasgow Barrowland, 2 x Edinburgh Usher Hall, 1 x O2 Apollo Manchester and 1 x Eventim Apollo London. The band received a lot of exposure through these high profile gigs and their popularity is growing by the day. Don't miss the chance to see them up close at this one!

Dirty Harry is the only tribute band for the true Blondie fan.

Formed in Edinburgh in early 2011, Dirty Harry was borne out of singing doctor, Sarah Kennedy’s desire to create an act which could play homage to everyone’s favourite rock goddess, Debbie Harry and to the band who practically invented Power Pop, Blondie.

Nearly four decades after Blondie emerged onto the anarchic downtown New York punk scene Sarah struck gold on Gumtree and found four of Edinburgh’s finest musicians to complete the line up.

In the annals of rock Blondie is unique; their back catalogue has proven to be timeless and with Ms Harry at the front, what's not to like guys!

Dirty Harry has not only the original sound, feel, attitude, and full back catalogue of the band but a look- a- like of Debbie to deliver the good stuff.

If a recap of some of the top tunes are required, lets remind ourselves, Heart Of Glass, Call Me, Rapture, Sunday Girl, Dreaming, Atomic, Denis, Hanging On The Telephone, Maria, One Way Or Another etc. Dirty Harry do it all plus plenty more of the best chart toppers and fan’s favourites.

The essence of Dirty Harry is to put on a show Blondie would give the nod to and in true punk style we can embrace any sort of venue, function or odd request so feel free to test us out.

As Oscar Wilde put it-

”There are but a few great second acts, but for those that can deliver in style, the applause lingers long after the curtain comes down and the critics have put down the sword…” Pity he never caught Atomic Kittens version of Tide is High!!

Sods Law are a Punk/Indie/Rock covers band based in Midlothian and this will be their first visit to PJ Molloys. The band have been playing the Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders circuit for 5 years and have played some big gigs of their own, covering Punk classics from the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Undertones, The Jam, Buzzcocks and many more. The band give it 110% every time they play a gig in front of the good crowds they pull on the circuit and it will be good to see them play live in Fife!
